rakes SENSE was launched in June 2019 by the editors of rakesprogress magazine . It’s a magazine that looks at Fragrance through the prism of art and photography. With the emphasis on contemporary ideas, multi sensory experiences, innovation and experimentation.

SENSE is the first luxury UK magazine to be dedicated to the art of scent and the sense of smell - The magazine is produced with high production values on beautiful matt paper and with stunning photography and combines the editorial style and quality of a luxury magazine with the longevity of a book or journal. It brings together features, interviews, photography and critical thoughts on the subject , exploring and connecting the world through our sense of smell, looking at art, literature, architecture, science, history, perfume, food and memory …

These are exciting times in the world of scent - new concepts, groundbreaking ingredients, new artists; all of which challenge the idea of gender, taste and give endless possibilities of what a fragrance means in the world today.

Our first issue was published in association with Harvey Nichols to support their “In The Air” multi sensory experience our second issue is due in spring 2021.

We are proud to announce that we were the winner in the creative category s of the Jasmine Awards 2020. The first issue also had finalists in 4 categories of the Jasmine awards 2020
